Every year there is an opportunity for REC Net Emerging Professional Members, currently enrolled in a college or university, to submit a 2024 Scholarship Application to help defray the cost of the student conference fees at the National Conference. This year at Nemacolin Woodlands, Farmington, PA. The Scholarship Committee is offering a revitalized scholarship opportunity that we believe students will find very exciting and easy to apply.

Each selected scholarship winner will be expected to assist for approximately ten hours during the conference. The assignments vary from assisting with the social committee, selling raffle tickets, working at the registration desk, and decorating for events. Emerging Professionals will also be assigned a board member as a mentor during the conference. This board member will give the student information about the conference, properties that they may be interested in, and more. We believe this will give students an opportunity to better understand all aspects of the association and learn from some of the best leaders in our industry.

In recognition of student service, each scholarship winner will receive a certificate of appreciation and receive a $119 travel credit. To be considered, the student must be a current RCRA member.

Be sure not to delay in applying, as there are a limited number of scholarships available. All applications must be completed and submitted by 5:00pm on October 22, 2024. You will hear from the Emerging Professional Committee Chairperson Marti Fowler, REC Net Director at Large by October 25th on the application's outcome.
